The SCSO has several academy graduates and utilizes a Crime Scene taskforce concept with neighboring jurisdictions. This allows agencies to pool resources on large crime scenes or prolonged processing events.
Northwest VA Regional Drug Task Force (NWVRDTF) is committed to the suppression of illegal narcotics. Through the efforts with local, state, and federal agencies, the Drug Task Force does actively pursue those groups or individuals who manufacture, distribute, or sell illegal narcotics within the Task Force region.
